The film I'll be analysing is Men In Black 3. This film was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and written by Etan Cohen and Lowell Cunningham. This film was released on the 25th May 2012. Men In Black 3 features well known actors; Will Smith (as Agent J), Tommy Lee Jones as (Agent K), Josh Brolin as (Young Agent K), Jermaine Clement (as Borris The Animal), Michael Stuhlbarg (as Griffin) and Emma Thompson (as Agent O).
In this film, Borris the animal escapes from prison which is located on the moon. He then goes after Agent K because Agent K is repsonible for the loss of his left arm. Agent K dies so Agent J travels back in time to 1969 to save Agent K and so that things will be the right way its suppose to be. Agent J meets up with the Young Agent K and starts to find out that there are secrets to the universe which Agent K never told him.
The budget of this film was $225,000,000 at Box Office and was grossed at $621,568,042 worldwide. Men In Black 3 was distributed by Colombia Pictures.
Target Audience:
It is rated as PG-13 for Sci-fi, Action and Comedy. Therefore the target audience of this film is for children as long as their parents are with them because there are some scenes with action that young children won't be able to watch with a parent or guardian.
This film is also for people who are 13+ and over and anyone who likes Sci-fi, Action and Comedy.
Reviews:
Men In Black 3 received mostly positive critics. Roger Ebert gave the film 3 out of 4 stars because he felt that Josh Brolin played the role as, Young Agent K very well.
Rene Rodriguez gave the film 1 out of 4 stars and stated, "Men in Black 3 is so dull and empty, it's the first movie that has ever made me think. Thank God this is in 3D."
Nominations & Awards:
Men In Black 3 was nominated for 'Favourite Action Movie' at 'The People's Choice Awards' in 2013 recently.
This film was also nominated and won the 'Academy Award' for Best Makeup. It was also nominated for 'Best Original Musical', 'Comedy Score', 'Best Art Direction', the 'Golden Globe Award' for 'Best Motion Picture' - Musical or Comedy.
