Pleasantville Effects
I had to film a short clip of something, making sure that one bright colour was standing out in the video clip. Firstly, I recorded a short clip opening a book which has the colour yellow in it.
I opened up 'Final Cut Pro', clicked 'File' and 'Imported' the video. After that, I clicked on 'Effects', then 'Colour Corrector 3-way' and dragged that onto the video.
I then clicked on the 'Colour Corrector 3-way' tab and opened the 'Limit Effect' bar. I then clicked on the 'Eye Drop' tool and clicked on the yellow colour on the paper. I then un-checked the 'Luma' and the 'Sat' box and brought the 'Sat' bar down.
After that, I clicked on 'Invert Selection', then I held down on 'Shift' and clicked the 'Eye Drop' tool again, then clicked on the yellow paper. I also opened up the colour bar a bit, so that the yellow colour could stand out more.
Once that was done, I 'Rendered' everything and clicked on 'File', then 'Exported' it as a 'QuickTime' movie then to put it on 'Youtube'.
